Integrated graphics card

Post by petracelli »

Hi Gents

Am planning on upgrading my pc and whilst new one ticks all the requirements it has an integrated graphics card, will this be sufficient?

Cheers

There's graphics chips & then there's grapics chips. Depends on what yours has for total memory available.
For MWiF, a fairly fast CPU processor is probably more important than the graphics processor. This game does a lot of thinking. I upgraded away from a 1.4 GHZ machine because of the slow processing speed. New box has an Intel Pentium G2020 at 2.9 GHZ. Much better. Came with an intel HD 2500 graphics chip with 1664 MB. Seems adequate.

MWiF indeed profits much more from a fast multi-core CPU than a fancy graphics card: there are no 3D graphics. SSD will help in loading times as well.
