SPM v. 0.7.4 released + hotfix info

Post by Nacho84 »

Hello all,

The latest update for SPM has gone live, so feel free to grab it using the autoupdate tool. Alternatively, you can download it from this link and install it manually.

The latest patch includes lots of bugfixes and the content for all 14 mission configurations from the Gemini program. On top of that, we have moved the data files out of the binary data bundles, which means you can now edit things using a regular text editor. You can find the full changelog here.

A silly bug was reported here. Apologies for this, a wrongly named asset made its way into the last build. The fix will make it into the next patch (0.7.5). In the meantime, feel free to grab this hotfix. Just decompress it and overwrite the contents of your installation directory with the new files.

Many thanks Nacho, but, what's exactly means "you can now edit things using a regular text editor"?
Editing thoes scripts had consequences in game?

Indeed, yes. If you go to the SPM-Windows_Data\Scripts\ folder you will find two subfolders in there containing the data and the text, respectively. I'm planning to release the internal tools I use in order to create the data scripts from the master spreadsheet but, for the moment, feel free to tinker around with the xmls files.
