Asynchronous turns??

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Asynchronous turns??

Post by 76mm »

I've been playing a few games against the AI and am thinking about moving to PBEM++ games. But I have a question: how exactly does this work with the asynchronous command cycles? If I have 20 minute command cycles and my opponent has 30 minute command cycles, it seems like some of my turns would need to be stopped in the middle to allow my opponent to give his orders...

Is that how it works, or am I missing something really obvious?

That's basically how it works.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

Speaking from experience the PBEM system works great and the people are nice.
