RC4 and patch 1.01

RC4 and patch 1.01

Ok I installed RC4 and then when I checked for current patch it loaded 1.01, did I mess up?

No, you did not mess up. You are playing v1.01 RC4 or the fourth iteration of the patch before it was officially released as v1.01.
