What kind of resolution support does this game have?

Close Combat: Panthers in the Fog is the first new release (not a re-make of a previous games) in years in the critically acclaimed Close Combat series. It details the desperate German counter-attack at Mortain, the last chance of the Wehrmacht to stave off defeat in Normandy. Can you match the tenacity of the American defenders of Hill 314? Or can you succeed where the Panzers failed, driving through to the sea and changing history? Improved 32-bit graphics and the ability to control more squads than ever bring the Close Combat engine to a new level.

What kind of resolution support does this game have?

Post by jpinard »

Matrix has a worrying trend nowadays of neglecting people with modern monitors. They seem to feel getting with the times is not important and especially not worthy of investment.

After going through this with Race into Space and Distant Worlds it's apparent we need to ask how the game looks & works on higher wide screen resolutions. With that in mind here's my question:

Does this work natively in wide screen support formats? If it does, how does it look at 1920x1200 and more importantly 2560x1600?

Thanks :)

Looks good on my 24" at 1920x1200. The menu screens do not use all the available pixels but in battle it does....

As Tejszd said, the UI screens (Command, Battle Group, Debrief, etc) will not take advantage of a high resolution monitor, but when you're playing a battle it will. You will be able to see a larger area of the battle field with a higher resolution monitor.

Will the buttons be so small they'll be really hard to click?
