RC-135W Rivet Joint

Post by Phobosdeimos71 »

How is the best way to deploy this unit. I'm not very familiar with this aircraft.

I'm running the scenario Operation Lightning Strike and would like to test how this unit works

Thanks

RC-135Ws are best use to passively detect and localise radar emitters.

While doing some research for my SW Asia scenarios, I ran across this book.

Wizardry for Air Campaigns: Signals Intelligence Support to the Cockpit
.
You'll find in in Google, also look for "Combat Apple".

I am trying to air to air refuel my RC-135V Rivet Joint in the Arabian Sea. However it will not obey my instructions

I googled to sea if it can air to air refuel and there is a video of it taking place

Check to see if you have drogue or center line compatibility. Certain Air Refuelers or only compatible with certain planes. You have to make sure they are compatible on both ends.

I have both KC-10A Extenders and KC-135R Stratotankers in the area with my RC-135W Rivet Joint and it will not refuel with any of them.

My KC-135R Stratotankers have both Centerline Boom / Drogue
and

the KC-10A Extenders have Centerline Drogue

It's a database issue. The RC-135 is missing the "Boom Refueling" flag.
