Weather forecast

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Weather forecast

Post by nukkxx5058 »

It would be good to have short term weather forecast (e.g. 1 hour or 2 hours weather forecast).
This would allows for example to delay an attack if the weather is expected to change (in bad or in good).

Of course forecasts should be given with a probability of occurrence.

RE: Weather forecast

nukkxx, the weather is not scripted and starts the scenario in a given state. Over the course of the battle those states can change based on a series of formulas and a roll of the digital dice. I believe the weather change numbers are in the manual and if not I can dig them up and post them this evening.
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!
