I take my sling off while stored in her case, habit for me. Here be my long gun accessible outside the "bunker" which is out in the sticks, this is what be lurking at the house in the city, not counting the shotguns which are with dad while he preps for quail season to start:

1st is my M4, with basic load of mags, 50 cal can has 800 rounds M855, both 7.62 cans hold 600 rounds 55gr .223 separated into 120 rounds per sandwich bag, use those for range duty and then we have my MP5 .22LR (did not pull out the 10 bricks I got).

2nd is my anti tree rat killers...........left is my .22 cal PCP pellet rifle (blows thru 3/4 plywood at 35 meters) and my BB sub machine gun with 8 round burst 500 fps.

And yes, all M4 mags are loaded, left are M855 and right are 55gr .223

That does not count my .45 and 9mm pistols. Just my long guns here at the house.

The "bunker" has most of my ammo and other goodies. But this is enough for me to hold the bad guys at bay if need be.

What really impresses me is the beater bar action on your vacuum cleaner. [:)] Dang thing works great. I'm a floor layer by trade so I notice these things. I don't have a bit of carpet in the house except for area rugs. Too clumsy for that.

Had the Bushmaster several years ago and sold it. Didn't really shoot it much then. Now that I have this one I just haven't gotten up the gumption to even fire it yet and get to know it.

So, I would assume the rear sights is flip up and to open sight it you would flip over the magnifier and up on the rear? What about the weight of the folding bi-pod?

I'll look into the Mamba sling.

Correct flip up rear sight, and the 3X can be configured to flip either left or right.
The bipod is a UTG sniper/combat, very light with a quick detach.
I can take it off, or put it on in less than 30 sec with my P38 can opener.
I only use it for distance shooting, and when taking pictures.[:D]

I guess to use my fixed rears and a magnifier I would need to move the EO forward a bunch and always use the rears. I assume they would all fit. I surely don't want to get rid of the BUIS.

The green tips are not cored, they are steel tipped.[;)]

I use both the M193 55g BT's, and the XM855 62g BT's.
The XM855's are the penetrating rounds.

Let me plug a good ammo distributor.[;)]
Check out LuckyGunner.com
They run a lot of specials.

I only shoot American Eagle.

To be a consistent shooter , you need to shoot the same ammo.
So you can learn the rounds ballistics.
When you find what round you like, stick with it, whoever the manufacturer is.

BUIS is a must.
I believe all the flip up work.
Some like the Magpul require an extra step though, the aperture has to be flipped back into position before it retracts fully out of the way.
Mine is a PRI flip up sight.

No magnifier, you can keep your optics back.
Ranges for it will be short to medium range.

With the 3X, the sights are moved way forward.
Ranges with it increase to medium and long range accuracy.

I meant I don't want to have to get a different BUIS. I'd like to use a setup where I retained the one I have. I'll research further.

That's all you can do.[:D]

Took me a couple of buys to get exactly what I wanted.

Good luck, and have fun.[;)]

Nice weapons guys. Thanks for some of the info also. Nice to see other gamers have the same interests as me in the outside world.
