Saving a game?

Post by rickier65 »

I picked this up when it was on sale, but I'm just now getting started. This is my first exposure to Close Combat system. I've gone through the basic tutorials, and started to play my first game.

This is probably a stupid question, but I can't find out how to save my game so that I can finish it later. Could someone point out how I do that?

Thanks
Rick

Hi Rick,

Your game is automatically saved whenever you start a new Operation or Campaign, and it is auto-saved after every battle. You cannot save during the course of a battle, but you can always hit ESC and abort the battle if you need to quit, then come back and start it over again at a later time.

Is this the case for the newer games in the series as well? No save game in the middle of a battle?

Thanks
Rick

Yes, that is correct. No version of Close Combat supports saving in the middle of a battle.
