landing in India

major landing in India with no Amphibious bonus am I asking for trouble?

I think you already know the answer to this, but yes, you are probably asking for trouble. [:)]

Two exceptions -
A. You have decent prep levels, plenty of air cover, and overwhelming force, or
B. The landing is uncontested.

On the bright side, it's not like trying a contested atoll landing as Japan without the bonus - what you're talking about can be done. Good luck!

Not much prep but my landings will be uncontested land next to bases then attacking the bases will have a great deal of air cover!

Worst case you wreck the troops badly in the landing. Getting 50%-70% disablement is not uncommon. That will take you months to recover.

ok just for information I did 5 landings now in April with little prep some 60,000 men ,The Amphibious TFs had very good land leaders I experience O disablement...on all Amphibious landings....only light losses on landing...happy with that.

Wow. Share your secrets! I get some (not a lot, but some) disablements routinely even when I have the IJ bonus ... after the bonus ends ...

Were they opposed landings or empty hexes? I would think that would have huge impact on disablements.
