Who can forget Admiral Dadman? His WitP game vs. Speedy was epic, involving a tense invasion of India by Japan. I enjoyed following that one, though it eventually "went dark." I also have the distinction of having played Admiral Dadman in one of my first UV matches in early 2003. He was Japan. He abused me, though I do recall a gentlemanly and encouraging comment he made during the game.

With AU and Admiral Dadman back, who might be next? Moses? Mogami?

Mogami was the one that got me into WitP back in 2005.

Hi! [:)]

1) Get the latest patch.

2) Get Babes mod, scenario 28, with optional stacking limits. 28-C is best, it reduces ships' cargo capacities.

3) Get Tracker.

4) Get Intel Monkey.

Moses? Mogami?
Omg, Speedy and I had a HUGE carrier battle in the Indian Ocean when I spent a month to sneak my entire carrier fleet around the map to nail him. Too bad he caught me trying to refuel, and he hit me at exactly the wrong time. I forget why we abandoned the game. I think we both had real life intervene.

You Canoerebel sir, did hand me one of my few defeats in UV, when I tried to "Mogami" you with a double helping of Tokyo Express.

And speaking of Mogami, One of my favorite things to do to him was to execute the exact strategy he expected, because he couldn't believe that I would actually do it. "No, DadMan won't hit me a forth time in a row... That's insane". So I did it...

I'm going to have to re-learn this game all over again. It looks a bit different from when I was in the Alpha/Beta group.

Welcome back! It's good to see some of the old farts again. I need to email Mogami and get him back in here. I miss that crusty old fart. [:D]

There aren't many computer games you can take a 4 year break from and return to find not only a bunch of new utilities but also several patch releases.

Indeed. Now all I have to do is find my serial #'s for AE, WitP, and UV...

UV?!?! Come to think of it it's still on my machine too.
Todd

I never thought that doing an AAR would be so time consuming and difficult.

It's too bad we never did get the remake of Carrier Strike off the ground. Alpha was where we figured out how to make mid-ocean intercepts work.

The focus was elsewhere and the realization that the market wasn't big enough (my guess) killed CS.

True. And Carriers at War still has a big bugaboo in it that kept me from buying it.
