DB images?

Post by GBS »

Sorry if this has been covered but will images of the various platforms and weapons eventually be added to the data base?

Due to copyright issues this is mostly a community driven thing. But a lot of people are already working on things.

Look:

and

and

there may be more links floating around in these forums.

Might be useful to place a sticky post in the forum where people can provide links to image files all in one place.

I have downloaded and extracted to the game file but the pictures are not showing in the game. Which exact file should I unzip these images too? Thanks.

In the mods and scenarios section we really need a folder layout, it already getting hard to find things.

something like
DB Images
- CW Aircraft
- DB3000 Aircraft
- CW Ships
- DB3000 Ships

Replacement Icons

Sounds

Scenarios
CW
DB3000

and so on

Gents -

I also downloaded and extracted into the Command root directory. The files are there, but no go when I bring up an in game database.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Edit: Have restarted the game, and accessed the database while in the aircraft tutorial. Database images are there; not quite sure what I did right or wrong but am grateful it works. My appreciation to the gents who assembled the data base photos.

Am enjoying Command immensely; a well done to the Team. Looking forward to all the improvements that are under consideration. Definitely worth the price.

MAC,

Do you have the picture of the Tomcat. I have a Corsair but no Tomcat pic which I think is odd.

Checked all Tomcat entries - no go. Considering the size of the database, I suspect that it will take time for the volunteers to compile a representative photo for each specific class of aircraft.

Excellent work, my sincere appreciation for all that you have done. Just the thought of searching, downloading, categorizing and making each illustration compatible seems a herculean task.

But... It seems the Manly thing to do...<grin>

Well Done, Sir!
