WITP-AE Compatibility with Windows 8

I am considering purchasing a new computer with Windows 8. Is WITP-AE compatible with windows 8?

There have been a few minor issues noted with scroll speeds and such under Windows 8, but there are fixes for them.

I suspect many of issues will be fixed when 8.1 update will be released on 18 October.

Probably WITPAE will not run at all.
