Is there an increased chance for the pilot not to die etc get caught (MIA)?

The short answer is yes - you are better off fighting over your own bases, etc. then you are fighting over enemy territory in terms of preserving your pilots.

Longer answer - I've seen it mentioned that the presence of friendly units helps to potentially aid any pilots you have nearby who get shot down (including even subs in the hex at an enemy base), but I've never seen any tests done or formulas for exactly how much of a benefit this can be.

Wait till you have a pilot training in British Columbia go down and be captured. It will make you want to play the theme song from "Twilight Zone".

Precisely. It has a close cousin that lives two provinces to the east called Saskatchewatch. In between is a close relative of myself called Albertosaurus.

I'm pretty sure most of you would be more interested in the Thoracic Snow Women. They have some pretty serious moguls on them.

I have a whole herd of them at my resort "Thoracic Park".
