Help!!! Strategic War In Europe

Hello guys ...I am new here and not sure what to do...I just bought Strategic War In Europe..
It looks like a great game but it seems that there are bugs in the tutorial parts of the game...I have the latest version of the game.

I guess I could fumble through the game without the tutorial, but I would rather not as I may miss something crucial...Any ideas of what I could do about the lock ups during tutorial??
