I was our NROTC's drill team CO, we certainly never did a throw like that!

Our drill team at the USMMA used to routinely toss bayoneted M-1's over one guy, two is impressive.

We did that with my military drill team when I was in college. I was the catcher... Still have the scars on my hand to prove it!
