British and Irish Lions

Post by warspite1 »

A great weekend of sport kicks off with the deciding test between Australian and The Lions. After the great fightback from the Aussies last weekend, its all to play for in the 3rd and final test.

Come on Lions!!

The Lions were too good. Well played. Who the hell decided that we should play the best from four nations though? [&:]

We should get a combined Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Argentina side to play England and see how you'd go [;)]

Now for the Ashes... (that's England vs Australia in a cricket series. It's a rivalry that goes back to the late 19th Century) [8D] I love all that "worst Australian team to tour England" hubris. They said that about the 1989 side and you got pumped 4-0 and it would have been 6-0 if it wasn't for your dismal weather [:'(]

England have a very good side, however, and we haven't been playing well. Our bowling attack is dangerous though and there is talent in the batting so if the latter clicks we might be in with a shout.

Cheers, Neilster

Well that was comprehensive [&o] (although the end of the first half and the start of the second was a tad worrying as no one should ever discount the Aussies in sport [X(])

But well done boys - its been a while in coming. Good things come to he who waits (and British supporters usually have an awfully long wait for any success [;)]....).

Good start to the sporting weekend.

Congratulation to the British and Irish Lions for their win, the better side won. Our scrum was awful, the Aussies have not had a good scrummaging pack in years. Well at least one good thing may come out of this, we may finally get rid of the current coach.

Thanks jamesm - yes looks like the coach's days are numbered.
