I read this article this weekend and got so mad/sad.... To think that all that history was destroyed, what a waste. At least the author was able to save something.

Yes, sometimes idiots simply kill great and invaluable piece of history, only baceuse they can. Somethink similiar happned when comunist také power in czechoslovakie in 1948 - they ordered whole park of military tanks/vehicles which was in CKD (then one of important armed vehicles manufacturer and developer of LT-38 - one of best light tanks in history) to be scraped , simply because they were now obsolote and to some degree showing of capitalist history of concern. Many vehicles which existedin only one suriving piece from series or even only prototypes were forever lost.
