I´m getting this all the time too. It seems to happen 100% of the time if you put in the wrong password or open another save than the one "connected" with replay after watching it. Been bugging me for quite some happen. The Intel and OPS are empty while the combat report is there. Was in both official and BETA.

Ah - wrong password does that by design for security. Opening a file other than the one you just ran the replay for seems to do that too as part of cleaning up to make sure you don't see reports for the wrong game. These two things have been true for a long time.

I don´t think its connected to the "wrong password" only. If I watch the replay and then click on a save file so the enter password box comes up but don´t enter anything it will still come up empty when I open the file later. It also happens if I watch the replay but after that open an older file from the same game.

It does, and should, happen if you open anything other than the correct turn from the correct game with the correct password after running the appropriate replay with the correct password.

Now, if you do open the right turn from the right game with the right password after running the replay with the right password and still get no report, then that sounds like a bug.

Ah, so that's it. I've not been watching the replay; guess I'll have to.

Yeah, the replay actually generates and writes out the report files. The turn just reads them in. But if there is a mismatch between the turn and the reports, the turn deletes them to avoid misleading the player.

One would think that I'd know this, but I a): don't play PBEM often and b): usually play the Japs, where the report is kinda useless...

Happens very occasoionally with me. I'm playing AI as Japan so no passwords involved. Not posted yet as I was trying to isolate when it happens.
