Air Group Changing Name

Post by Justus2 »

I've noticed this a few times now in the op report (not this many at once), does this affect the air groups at all, or is it just for historical accuracy? Does it affect the Commanders (ie do they switch with the renamed units)?

Group '35th PG/21st PS' changes name to '21st PS'
Group '35th PG/34th PS' changes name to '34th PS'
Group '31st PG/39th PS' changes name to '35th PG/39th PS'
Group '31st PG/40th PS' changes name to '35th PG/40th PS'
Group '31st PG/41st PS' changes name to '35th PG/41st PS'
Group '31st PG/Hq Sqn' changes name to '35th PG/Hq Sqn'

All for historical flavour. It has no practical effect.

Great, thanks. Just wanted to check. Probably a devious plan by some staff officer with a relative with a sign-painting contract. [8D]
