Ancient Homeworlds - options?

Is there any way to prevent a faction from starting a game in their ancient homeworld system quite so often? I much prefer coming across them naturally during gameplay and usually find an independent world full of the race in question.

It's more often than not I start a game and end up in Sol when playing as a Human for example, that rarely ever happened in previous versions, is it editable somewhere?

I actually like it, but I certainly wouldn't be adverse to having the option to choose.

I don't think this has ever happened to me. Are you playing in a small galaxy, perchance?

I've been constantly playing 100 stars and 4x4 yet I've never gotten Sol. What's your magic? [:D]

How are we even playing the same game? I usually play 1400,15x15. Every third game I seem to start in Sol when I pick Humans. I start in Ackdar every other time when I'm playing fishguys too, I never noticed it but once or twice in every game I played with Legends, but in Shadows I've restarted my game three times today just cause I didn't want to begin a game at their home system.
