It's D-Day - Allied Corps storms the beaches!

Post by Philkian »

D-Day. It was the 6th of June 1944, when U.S. General Eisenhower, the supreme commander of Allied Expeditionary Forces in Europe gave the go-ahead for Operation Overlord, the largest amphibious military operation in history.

That day almost 20.000 parachutists touched down on French ground and 6,000 landing craft, ships and other vessels carrying 176,000 troops stormed the Normandy coast after leaving England. On their ships, soldiers were anxiously waiting to land and commence the struggle to free Europe with proud heart and firm hand.

Today,we,along with Flashback Games Studio and the Lordz Games Studio (www.thelordzgamesstudio.com), are hugely proud to announce the long-awaited release of Panzer Corps: Allied Corps, the spiritual successor to Allied General!

This date has been intentionally chosen to commemorate this historic event with a game that follows in the footsteps of those brave men and women who put their lives at risk to free Europe from tyranny.

The Allied Corps campaign contains 30 scenarios, which take the player from Africa to Europe covering the war from 1940 to 1945. It features 900 units from more than 30 Nations including Great Britain, USA, France, Poland, Germany, Italy and more. It allows multiplayer via our asynchronous server and modding through the scenario editor.

“We designed it, we tested it and we polished it: now it is ready to make Allied General fans everywhere happy” said Iain McNeil, Director of Development of the Slitherine Group. “We spent a lot of time and effort to make this possible improving the Panzer Corps engine and the results are amazing. We really hope wargamers will like Allied Corps”.

Take note: Allied Corps is a stand-alone game and does NOT require Panzer Corps to play
