Couple of quick questions

Post by tiger111 »

Looking forward to the release. Really enjoyed the original

Couple of q`s.
1. How many turns per year? Hopefully more than the originals 2.

2.Are there difficulty levels, eg easy/medium/hard?

Thanks... can`t wait......

There will be 3 turns per year. We found that number to be the sweet spot, as 2 are too few and 4 are too many!

2.Are there difficulty levels, eg easy/medium/hard?

There will be difficulty levels for both modes, yes.

Couple of questions? What will be the price of the game? Any idea?

All real astronaut names? Will there be photos of them?

With the game start date I guess the X planes will be included? Could you recruit chuck yeager to NASA?

I have no idea, but I'll point Iain to this thread so that he can chime in sometime during the week.

We won't be using real astronaut names but... stay tuned! We'll be announcing something even better soon [;)]

Yes, the X-15 is included, but we don't have plans at the moment to provide Yeager as a selectable astronaut.

Well, the X-15 become in-game, but only for sub-orbital trips, or maybe also even for orbital flights? And comes something like the X-20 Dyna-soar?

The X-15 in the game is only meant to be used for sub-orbital trips. We're not planning to include the Dyna-soar at the moment, but we will evaluate the possibility of adding it in an update.

How much we can thank you and the rest of the team? [:)]

Anyway, can you give a bit more information now about the Russian parts who going be used? And would the moon race have more choices then the traditional Apollo landing? (Something like BARIS, where you can choice what for type you will do for a moon landing)

Buy a copy (or two!) of SPM once it gets released so that we can continue working on games related to space exploration [:)]

Part I will feature several russian probes, such as Venera and Luna. Take a look around in the forums, I recall posting a few screenshots from russian probes.

Regarding the Moon landings, you'll be able to choose different approaches: LOR, EOR and Direct Ascent. You'll also be able to make flybys around the Moon using a modified version of the Gemini spacecraft.

Yes, I seen the screenshots of them. Its very awesome already, and I can't wait to the release of BASPM.

But by the Gemini, become it only moon fly-by mission what it can max, or can it also be used for the orbital and lunar landing mission (Like the Gemini-Centaur plan)?

We have provided options for both. There's a "Circumlunar reconnaissance mission" program, which uses a Gemini in order to perform a flyby around the Moon, and also there's a "Direct Ascent", which lands a modified Gemini in the surface of the Moon.

Cheers,
