Torch in 1942 Scenario?

Strategic War in Europe is a grand strategy game where you command one or more of the 25 countries in the game. War, diplomacy, technological progress, recruitment, conquest – this is all in your hands. There are no restrictions to the actions you can perform during your turn: unit movement, purchase, attack, technology investment, reinforcement, all of those can be done at any moment during the turn.

Torch in 1942 Scenario?

Post by SeattleKCD »

There does not seem to be a way to recreate the 1942 Torch landings in North Africa, at least starting with the 1942 scenario. US does not have and won't have diplomatic pts needed to declare war for a long time (need 80). The UK builds up enough by about Feb 1943. Even if you declare war there's no port on the west coast of Morocco, so the US has no supply line inland. Seems to make it hard to be in position to invade Sicily by mid 1943 too, although the 1943 scenario has all the Torch landing and conquest completed and in the middle of the Sicily landings.

Actually, I have managed this. But it is much better to start earlier to do Torch.
