The state of the mods ?

Post by mantrain »

After three years owning this beautiful game I have finally dug into it enough the play it and love it. I do feel that compared to all the other titles I own that the scenario selection is limited. Look at WITE with all those scenarios and mini scenarios. I understand the difference in the game and perhaps I could spend the rest of my life playing the campaign without ever needing a Mod, but I am still very interested to download some mods and check them out, if not for academic fun.
Therefore I am hoping someone could be nice enough to provide me the skinny on the MODS for AE, where are they? which ones are the ones that are thought of more highly.

And lastly, what am I supposed to do about my day job? I find myself firing up my laptop at work to read the manual and the forums, etc? Are there any support groups for middle aged family men that have found WITP and need to accommodate such frivolous activities such as making a living and spending time with family?
Thanks again!
Oh, one more question, for most AE players. is it like most games, where the awe falls off and we move on to other games? I don't see that happening yet.

Perhaps I asked the wrong question, because no one will answer me.
I will try again:
I know very little about the mods of WITP AE.
I would like to know more about what are some of the popular mods and how complicated they are to properly DL without a thousand zip files all over the place.
Is there some sort of database- ie, third party sites with the mods exist?
Thank you
