Reports Are Out of Date

Post by NAVLT66 »

I have started a new game against the AI. I am at Dec 11, 1941, but the Ops report, the Combat Report and the Sigint reports are from May 1942 showing action that hasn't occurred yet. Any suggestions how to correct this? Thanks

Check your game settings and make sure that you have reports turned on.

The reports you are seeing are probably from the previous game.

I checked every scenario(Guadalcanal, etc.) has the same May1942 date for the reports. Obviously I have some issues with the game files. Anyone know how to correct?
Thanks

Check your game settings and make sure that you have reports turned on.
One way before you start a game, another way when you are in the middle of a game.

In your Save folder there is a series of text files. These include the combat report, the sigint report, etc. There is only one set of files for each install of AE. They are overwritten every time a turn is run if the reports toggle is on. If you're seeing May in every scenario you're seeing old reports generated in an earlier game. Make sure the toggle is flipped, then run a turn in any scenario and immediately open the combat report in Notepad. If the date is still wrong you have some exotic issue. I'm guessing it won't be though.
