Industry Management screen

Post by PaxMondo »

Fired AE up this morning and just for giggles loaded Scen 1. Haven't looked at it in a while. Perusing the Industry management screen and I find this. I guess I missed something. What are the 7974 and 6750 in green in the HI req line for Engines and Aircraft respectively supposed to represent? I've run my math inside and out and can't figure out what the numbers represent. If I do my sums correctly, the HI reqs should be about 390 and 225 per day. Appreciate any help for the old guy here who hasn't had his morning pot of coffee yet.

I always think that those numbers represents monthly use of HI.
Numbers can be correct. Remember that this number shows HI used in next or last turn

Japan is building 649 engines during month. If month have 30 days that mean average 21.633333 engines daily. But engines are not build every day (only true for 30 size factory) so there can be days when empire will build less or more engines. so numbers can be OK for next turn when empire will build lower number of engines (if factory let say size 10 will build only 0,33333... engine it is not couted for next day, but only in day that engine is build so HI is counted every 3 days)

With many small factories differences can be huge as many factories will build only fraction of engine.

I thought Michael fixed this some time ago ... maybe it has crept back in ...

If it were the monthly figure
Engines = 649 * 18 = 11682

If daily then
Engines (649/30)*18 = 389

The figure doesn't make sense to me as it stands...

Ok Damian, I feel better. Your numbers are the same as I calc. So at least I will have company in my senility if it turns out we are wrong. [:D]

Actual engine production number would include R&D also. But no HI cost associated.
For Air, the two are split so it is obvious.

Yes totals in Green as they are for 30 days, rather than daily as other figures.
Here is actual split: The production 443 x 18 = 7974 HI

Michael,

Ah, so the industry page includes R&D numbers?! OK, so we would have to go to the Intell report and look under the Industry screen. Got it.

Thanks for quick response.
