You gotta know what is coming next.....

Legaspi: JJ goes after the airfield at Legaspi which is low on supply and has no aviation support. The Air HQ that was tasked to go there by APD was called back due the raid of Atago. They really should be going after Lucena as Legaspi was always supposed to be the distraction/meat grinder. It has worked tremendously well as a distraction and in destroying LYB airplanes but the meat grinder part has mostly been our ships and engineers swimming with the Oceanic White Tips.

Morning Air attack on Legaspi , at 82,82

Weather in hex: Heavy cloud

Raid spotted at 18 NM, estimated altitude 11,000 feet.
Estimated time to target is 5 minutes

One coy of 4th Marine Raider Bn captures Tablas (80m S of Lucena) just to clean up the approaches to Lucena, give us eyes on the beach and provide an emergency airfield far North if needed.

A planned attack by paras at Batangas does not go off.

So SG has this boss who wears her hair short and likes the Dinah Shore Classic. Everyone seems to hate her (at least according to SG).

The hospital is trying to retrench to save costs so they closed down SG's unit and consolidated with the burn unit. That seems reasonable but when it gets busy there isn't enough space and some of the neurosurgical suppries are not available in burn. So, one day, they get a critical brain injury, everything is FUBAR so SG just opens up the unit on her own. [:D]

Now, you could say it was insubordination but it really was innovation to solve a problem created by incompetent management. The next day, the fit really hits the shan and SG gets called in to the "carpet muncher's office" (her words). The nurse director who likes the Dinah Shore Classic is REALLY, REALLY pissed. SG is sure she is going to get axed....but there is a secret ally.

The Discharge Coordinator sees what is happening...AND recognizing that a nurse solved a patient care emergency and was being punished for it...AND...who just happens to be sleeping with the CFO (the Discharge Coordinator not SG..as far as I know) goes "upstairs" for a pow wow..AND...the next day...Carpet Mucnher Girl apologizes to SG. [:D]

Now, I happen to think it funny that someone with the title of "Discharge Coordinator" apparently get her "position" by managing the discharges of the CFO but the real learning is that Carpet Muncher Girl is a vindictive biotch because the old PICU is now locked with new locks that only security can open. [8|]

This is all background. Carpet Muncher Girl is on vacation Hawaii (maybe there is an LPGA tournament) and SG is complaining to me about managing a TBI patient in burn and I suggest that she merely allow things to not run smoothly without compromising patient safety or comfort.

FAM: Just put a Franc piece in the oil filter.

(I meant this as a reference to the French resistance and sabotage of train locomotives but SG starts laughing hysterically. It doesnt seem really funny to me so I try to clarify)

FAM: No, a French Franc in the oil filter.

She starts laughing even harder. Finally, she explains that all the nurses have decided what Carpet Muncher Gril really needs is a good ****. You see, from her perspective, a "franc" was a "Frankenfurter" and an "oil filter" was a you know what.

Here is what I have learned. Never use obscure WWII references when talking to women. They will think you are making sexual references.

There is the LPGA LOTTE open ..[8D]

BTW) I love the LPGA. As a 20 hcp to watch those smooth swings generate 90+ MPH swing speeds and drive just like the men is absolutely fasinating ...I can do that someday!!! [&o]

BTWII) The real test is WNBA not LPGA in my opinion [;)]

What happened to the rest of the Para Brigade? I think that is like 30%. Probably we need more transports.

They also brought in some Bettys to Burma.

The good news is the damn subs didn't get Vicky.

Yep, we need more air transports.

We should be fully unloaded at Ramree in 2 or 3 days.
