Shhh.... <whisper>Don't disturb the master at work!!</whisper>

Last time they waited until they had a thousand or so changes before they rolled it out as the official update. The longer it goes the better it gets... Having said that the current beta is pretty good so don't be afraid to use it.

With the Spiral software development model which is being used, any bugs that turn up are usually squashed with the next beta release which often comes out within a week - sometimes with a day or two if it's urgent... [&o] The best I saw was when I reported a bug, it was reported fixed within two hours and an updated beta released the next day!! [X(]

MichaelM is doing an absolutely fantastic job!!!! [&o][&o][&o]

Cheers,
Reg.

Since you have been away for a while you might like to have a look at the artwork Halsey has pulled together...

Does this addition allow me to switch to counter-clockwise?

When you say "This edition" I don't know which one you mean (and I don't remember when all the search bugs were finally worked out). But if you use the latest Beta, yes, absolutely.

Very glad to see that you are back - you have been missed.

This game is almost perfect. I'm not trying to complain and maybe no one cares about this but I just wanna know. Is there any possibility that a 1942-1946 scenario will be installed in the future? The only real disappointment I have found with WITP:AE is that there's no full map scenario that starts in 1942.

Original Witp had a May 1942-46 scenario and that was a LOT of fun. I just find the 1941 start to be really tedious and boring. With the 1942 start I was always able to bypass the predictable "rinse and repeat" and boring parts. It's the same boring one-sided affair every time starting on dec.7. The Japanese roll into DEI, Malaya etc against inevitably insufficient Allied defenses and take the bases. It's the same thing at sea, predictable and boring. But the real battle doesn't seem to begin until around March 1942. That's when the real fun starts. I found this to be the case when playing as either side.

There is one already in the modded section. Not sure if the status is completely ready to play though. There will be no more official scenario's developed, rather the Babes team and others are doing the heavy lifting now. Micheal is a coder not the scen designer.

1st time back here in years...

One thing that I acutely missed from the initial AE release that was in the original WitP was the ability to set the AI to run certain regions or zones of the map. IIRC this was removed due to the new way the AI is set up, and I was told it would be very difficult-to-impossible to recover this option. So, in the time since, has that option been re-included?

Simply, No... It will never be reinstated due to the new AI.
