Crashes

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

happened again with another new game.

I'm done.  hopeless waste of time.

Great concept and many great things in this game but if you can't play it past five turns, what's the point?

This is really a disgrace if you ask me.

Not that it was that expensive, but in terms of value for money, I got ZERO.  Wasted time AND money and I never finished a game.

Check Doomtrader's Suggestion

Post by Omnius »

started yet another game and it's happening again on turn five.  This time I didn't even save, played straight through, crashed when I ended turn 5 and the AI started turn 6.  Restarted from autosave, same crash.

This is, frankly, outrageous.  The game is unplayable, period.

Either fix it or give me my money back.

Mark Clark,
I had a similar problem with saved games in an earlier version. Doomtrader suggested I check my "show naval actions" box to make sure it was checked yes. I found I had unchecked that box and that by checking it back on I no longer had the saved game crash problem. It would be nice if doomtrader fixed the programming so we can have the show naval actions box unchecked.

Mark Clark,
That's too bad that your crash problems weren't solved by the show naval actions box being checked. I'm not sure what version you playing but I've decided well over a month ago to just put the game on the shelf and do other things while doomtrader gets us a more stable, less frustrating version to play. I can't get the editor to work and have gotten absolutely no help trying to overcome my problem. If I can't get the editor working on my computer then I won't be buying any further Wastelands products. Ironic that Strategic War in Europe is more playable with less frustrations, but it just isn't as interesting as the scale of ToF.
