Wasn't Henry IV French?

Henry IV = English = Buried in Canturbury

Henri IV = French = Buried in Saint Denis (Paris) = during the French Revolution,the head of his embalmed body was lost after revolutionaries ransacked and desecrated his grave in 1793 and removed his head.

The English are not to be blamed for losing their head this time, the French are to blame.

Exactly - and there is nothing in the article that suggested this was about a British king - hence my initial question,

My post was for the people who live a bit futher away from Britain and the Continent. Not meant to critizise. Some people do not realize that Kings did not just die of old age and the new king took the vacant throne.

Some were killed in batttle, some were murdered in battle (fragging a modern day term), some died of battle wounds, some were killed in hunting accidents, some were just hated by others and were just mudered, relatives wanted the throne for themselves and found ways and helpers. Of course some did die a natural death.

Just writing this post I noticed how many kings were killed, did we have that many???

Wasn't Henry IV French?

My bad; he was Henri, not Henry.

I thought this Henry was Henry Bolingbroke, later Henry IV, the "vacationing" English noble who crossed the channel from France to take possession of the British crown from Richard II.
