Help with full screen

Post by smokindave34 »

I've just purchased WITP-AE and I'm having trouble getting the display on full screen. I've read some of the posts relating to this and I still need help. When I post the following at the end of the target line " -fd –altFont -f -px1920 –py1200" my display does not quite fit the whole screen (there is a black border all along the outside. When I change the "fd" to "wd" for windowed mode the windowed mode opens up in a small window (that looks great by the way) but when I maximize the window my screen goes black.....any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The symbol in front of the py is a dash, not a hyphen. Notorious typo in the addendum notes. Make them both short hyphens.

Thanks Bullwinkle. I tried that and it didn't work. Here is a screenshot - any suggestions?

Delete and re-type each '-' character. If they were cut and pasted from the documentation then they only look like a dash but are actually a different ASCII character (an 'en-dash').

Just curious: What does the "d" mean in "fd?" I just use an "f."

IIRC it means that, when playing the AI, backup saves are made after each turn (aka day).

You might want to see if your monitor supports that particular resolution. You can use the Control Panel to see what screen resolutions your particular hardware supports, then use these to insert into your command line.
