Germany's unforgivable crime before the Second World War was her attempt to extricate her economy from the world's trading system and to create her own exchange mechanism which would deny world finance its opportunity to profit.

I've always liked the look of the P-80 Shooting Star. It was developed in record time and sort of qualifies because they did fly in Europe before the end of the war. This is actually a prototype XP-80A.

I think we should end the competition now. I think it is clear, having collated all the votes, that the competition results are as follows:

1. The Spitfire
2. The Beaufighter
3. The Mosquito

Therefore there is no need for any further discussion
EPIC FAIL WARSPITE1...EPIC!! HOW DARE YOU MENTION THOSE SACRED BEAUTIES WITHOUT INCLUDING MY FAVORITE BRITISH FIGHTER OF ALL TIME;

Tis a fact of life, there were so many British aircraft - like British ships - that were ball-bouncingly beautiful...unlike our tanks [:(] The Tempest I wouldn't have put in the fighter category although, whichever role she adopts, she certainly fits the gob-smackingly beautiful category.[&o]

The Tempest was most definitely a fighter but was just good at ground attack too. Perhaps you are thinking of the Typhoon, Warspite?

Sexy? Hmm... I would have to go with a Maachi design for first place.
