Commander - Europe at War Gold

Post by catwhoorg »

With a few days left in the Matrix sale, (and my birthday approaching ...) I was wondering if anyone plays this older game ?

It is obviously going to be fairly similar, but is it going to be a step backwards compared to The Great War ?

Lots of us play CEaW with the GS mod. Check out the forum at Slitherine. The game is still very fresh with the GS 2.1 mod.

Certainly looks active over there.

One of the downsides of the split communities between Matrix/Slitherine is I completely overlooked that section.

Thanks for the pointer. I'll go out and get it before the sale ends.

TGW was my First Lordz game, obviously it won't be my last.

Note that CEAW was not done by the Lordz. It was and still is a popular game though, now over 6 years old IIRC. But keep in mind that CTGW was done from scratch by a whole new dev team, so CEAW will not be "CTGW with WW2 units".

I assumed they did the whole series. My bad.

Still I'll pick it up.

I bought CEAW years ago, when it first came out, and I'm still playing it now with the Grand Strategy mod.

Great game. [:)][:)][:)]
