Why the move? Something you've wanted to do for a while? Better deal come up? Closer to work?

I'm currently renting an apartment that's owned by a foundation related to the defense academy. It's one of many apartments meant to be a temporary home for those of us that is moving to Stockholm from all over the country and starts to work there.

It's not easy (expensive, however) to find a good place to live in Stockholm. Allowing us to rent these apartments gives us time to find something for ourselves. I've now lived in this place for 3,5 years, and the landlord started to make some noices about not allowing me to prolong my stay any longer.

Edited; foreign language.
Are there better deals on the outskirts than in town proper?

Much easier. The apartment I'm moving to is shiny brand new. Rent is roughly 50% lower than it would've been for the same size apartment downtown. I figured I could live with the extra ~15 minutes (one way) commuter time for that [:'(]

... otherwise, I'm quite happy with the timing of my move. The owner of the building I'm currently living in is starting a major renovation (including replumbing) of the entire building next month. [;)]

Wow, that's quite a difference for only a 15 minute commute! Good find. Good mass transit system nearby?

Commuter train station 200 meters from my flat. From there ~15 minutes to downtown Stockholm.

... now I just have to finish my turn so my opponent has something to do while I'm moving. Jeez, is it 04.00 am already?

I'll be breaking out the barbecue later tonight

We're having pizza

Is it curry pizza? I thought Brits ate everything with curry. [:)]

Curry and chips, you should try it.
