Awesome In-Game Screens PART 2

Post by budd »

Since this forum has a way larger upload size for images and the fact that nobody is really doing any AAR's hope it's not a problem to start this thread here. Since the last update i have been able to dial it up a little in the detail department on my integrated graphic chip laptop [:)] . I know you maxed out guys will have some incredible shots to share.

Ya, its a must have IMO.

Or another way to but it. i am finishing up on 1st month of what is likely going to be a 6 month project to do a bit of North Africa late 42- and maybe spring 43 later on in apos engine. I would NOT embark on such a project if it was NOT really good. Making a big chunk of Tunisia is a painfully slow process and I still need to tackle making the US army. LOL. And somehow figure out if I can get some Brits in there too. Oh and of course all the plant models, building models, and textures that go along with it. But I am excited about it! It is moving along at a slow but steady pace.

Unknowingly funded by the VA disabilty system and pig a headed slightly broken scout that refuses to go get work from brain dead game companys. Well for now while I can still handle being super broke all the dang time. AHHHHHH passion over comfortable life. Which will win?

How are you managing this? I thought the game was un-moddable?

It's not unmoddable.Just very difficult to mod unless you are a skilled modder. It certainly isn't set up to be modded by novices or the faint of heart.

If you are persistent and have plenty of time to spare it may possible to do,but most people give up after a few days of trying to figure it all out.

Its 1000 percent modable. It ships with the same tools gravi uses. Well some. APOS is same engine as SABOW. Apart from no map editor released to general public (a GOOD thing IMO............it requires a TON of knowledge most folks would give up right quick). But for SABOW I made and imported in F5e fighter, rifle genade, G3A3 rifle, my own m113a1, m113a1 with recoiless rifle, m106, m1 style helmet, an unreleased saladin armored car, 6 campaigns and other crap......oh my .50cal m2hb on tripod. Its all the same as APOS. As to why no user campaigns? I have no idea. Just required (past tense) notepad and included tools to get into the campaign editor. Then place and test. Now is in spreadsheet form using open office and game as included tool to make config files for campaign from that......... Even has example ODS(open office spreadsheet) example all set up ready to add crap too.

It is NOT all GUI tastic. It is typical developer tools that are ugly but work.
