Afrika Corps and Original - - HELP

Hi,
I was playing the original game and I was in the 1942 DLC and when I went to my desktop to play the game I clicked on the shortcut - which came up as the panzer corps AK shortcut. I clicked on the load game and then on my save scenario to start and a blank screen came up. I had the game patched to 1.11 and the AK is 1.10?

1 - Could this be the problem?
2 - Did I lose my current game?
3 - Do I need to install 1.11 again?
4- Is only one shortcut needed now to play either game?

You need to start the original game in order to play the DLC's.

i think I have it, I had to install the 1.11 patch for afrika korp and everything works

I think we know now that this is untrue. DLCs can be played with the stand-alone AK.
