The media is calling Chief's fans heartless for cheering when our QB was injured.

I must be heartless. I cheered too.
Ouch!
Vikings did well 30-7. In hockey, Sioux beat U of Manitoba 4-3 Saturday. I saved you a seat on the band wagon.[:)]

Definately Monday. As soon as I pull out of the garage it begins to rain. A cold rain.
At my desk with a cup of joe. Much better.

Don't forget the Carolina Lightning Bantam A team who took two this weekend from the (supposedly) AA Greensboro Stars. [8D]

I was thinking of this weekend's Gamecocks' victory over big G. Speaking of which, shouldn't Mynok be crowing about that right about now? Anyone heard from him in the last few months?

I have no fucking clue what you guys are talking about! But have you seen the FC Bayern perform last weekend?

Fruedian slip that I didn't mention UND football. They have been getting kicked this season. I don't really watch much college football unless it's UND and NDSU playing for the nickel trophy. A 75lb. replica of the old Indian head nickel
with Sitting Bull on the front and a bison on the back. The change over to division I AA (or division II the next generation) has killed the rivalry. The lust for money.

A thank you again to Steve and Lou for their hospitality during this year's iteration of the THREADian summit. Great home cookin', interesting discussion, fine liquor, good company and some fine shootin'.

You guys rock. [8D]

You are MOST welcome, and we look forward to hosting you again. You make a really excellent guest!.[&o]

Greetings from Shamrock, TX.....such as it is. [:D]
Greetings from Minnesota, Comrade Red Mouse. It was a pleasure to make your and your wife's acquaintance at Steve and Lou's. Hope your travel is safe and 'enjoyable' (as much as any 3000 mile trip can be 'enjoyable'...). If I ever find myself in Cali, you can bet I'll look you up.

ETA: Wasn't Lou's cooking the bomb? [&o]

Likewise here Señor Pollo. WU and I had a blast. Our biggest regret is that we were so done in by the drive that we petered out early.

Lou's cooking is the absolute bomb! I was dreaming of that mushroom soup the whole next day. [&o]

I hope they were good dreams? [:D] We really enjoyed meeting you and your delightful spouse! And look forward to our next summit! [:D]

As for the rest of you lot: I found myself a new love this week. Her name is .30 M1 carbine. Sigh...

You could shoot a lot of poultry with that. What else did you guys bring?
AR-15, a couple of 22's (one semi auto, one revolver), a P-38, a Nagant , and of course the M-1 Carbine. We did the M-1 Garand and the "mare'sleg" last time. We'll save the K-98 and Enfield till you can join us next time! [:D]

But she's still a petite thing with lovely lines. I'm more fond of her Teutonic cousin.
Which if memory serves me correctly , kicks like the proverbial mule! [:D]

Sorry for the delay in getting back to my brothers about the summit. After dropping Andre we then spent another late night at the Navy ball. After a couple of weeks of late nights, not enough sleep and WAAAAAAAY to much hard alcohol (courtesy of Andre and his OUTSTANDING tastes in potable alcohol) this senior citizen crashed. Can run with the "young punks" I guess. But it was tremendous fun! So I officially declare the second annual Nebraska Thread brothers summit a complete success ! I don't know where I'll be next year , but where ever the fates (and the USN) send Lou and I , we will have another summit next year . (Illinos?Florida? West Virginia?DC?GUAM!!!!![X(][X(][X(][X(]? Who knows!) But we will have another , and welcome one and all! [:)]
