Fixing up an incomplete scenario

Post by Silvanski »

In the scenario dump the "Great War In The East" scenario showed to be incomplete.

Two things: force objective settings (critical), which I solved by going over every single formation. I found that a "Caucasus Liberation Army" regiment, which appears after the Axis capture Kiev and the Soviet Arctic front didn't have objectives assigned to them.

I gave the Caucasus unit an objectives path to... the Caucasus... It'll go ahead with the Axis advance to Rostov, and beyond if possible.
For the Arctic Front I set them to Petsamo, they'll defend that city.

But I still have these notices in the scenario:

Great War in the East (variant) COW.SCE

This scenario is valid, but may need additional work.
Use Edit Forces to customize force 1 settings. (optional)
Use Edit Forces to customize force 2 settings. (optional)

What do I need to look out for?

Those are for adjusting force specific settings, like movement bias, force loss intolerance, etc. Simply opening the force editor, and making an entry in it, even if not changed from the default will clear those warning flags. Do this by selecting the Menu Item Edit > Forces > Menu Item Edit > Modify Current Force, then choose any setting, click Enter to keep the default value. Then switch forces in the Force Editor pane, and repeat for that side. Exit Force Editor and you're done.

Or, you could live with that nag, every time you check the situation, but that's too much like not taking out the trash when the wife is bugging you...[;)]

I tried this but the message still shows up... it's something I can live with.

I revised some stuff in my "Great War In The East 1941-1945" mod and it's available over at XtremeGamer/GameSquad

I was curious about this myself.

This is what I did to remove that message. I made the "Force overall proficiency" match that of the units as close as possible and then hit enter. That got the trash removed. :)
