I shouldn't be coming back as replacements. It's set to die after first use in the Editor. Unless Vic has changed this in one of the recent patches, it's a one shot weapon.

I believe that's the case, but I haven't dived into it. I can confirm that the Vanilla setting is for them to 'die' after one use.

oh let me take a quick look at the events redmarkus4 i bet it's in a stringlist somewhere and i can point you in the right direction. though i kinda liked that these babies are rare since they were rare and powerful in reality.

Thanks! OK, what I had already done to work around this was:
1. Set rockets to use heavy artillery reinforcement type. (I will change this back to 'Rocket' as the Reinf string looks good to go, right?)
2. Set them to not die after first use.
3. Reduced their attack value to 2 (Neb) and 4 (Kat) down from 12 and 16. So, they are still 2x150mm, which is plenty, but they should now hang around for the duration of the game.
4. Gave them an artillery range of 2, so you don't need to put them in the front line.
5. Gave them the motorized movement type to allow players to concentrate them at key points more easily - reflects their actual usage.
6. Assigned them to Army HQs in the Case Blue scenario I am still modding.
I am pretty sure there's a setting to prevent the player from building/spamming any given unit type but I can't find it...

Is it correct that the SS Pz Divs in the game only have a Panzer Battalion, while the standard Pz Divs get a Panzer Regt? I thought the SS Divisions were better equipped overall.

Oh you can set a max # of a model in the historic unit tab.

No that effects the New Units created too because a new units based off the Model and there is where you set the max model. Example you can only have 8 fronts so if you look at the front you'll see it has max 8

Just -1 means unlimited which is typically the default. But if you want to limit to say 10 just set each sides max for the model to 10 (or whatever) and then you have your max.

Ah, got it! Thanks. I guess I'll limit it to what the game starts with, so the player can rebuild if destroyed, but not spam more...

You're right SS wiking and SS LAH were both SS panzer divisions not motorized wonder why vic did that. He said he was thinking of fixing TOE's so hopefully he does that cause it's trivially easy to add SS panzer division MODEL.

Yea looks like you were right they are basically the same as a Heer PzD but they had an extra Pz regiment.

Well it actually looks like what vic used for SS motorized division is closer to an ss panzer division since its basically teh same as the regular pz division except...
panzer div has "German Panzer Regiment" (4xinf, 2x20mmflak, 18xpziiih, 9xpzivf, 6x sdkfz 251)
ss mot div has "ss panzer bat" (4x pzivf, 9x pziiih)
so yea looks like a goof somewhere but also the ss division should have a 2nd battalion. Just make sure you use people 3 for any ss changes.

Looking at the link, they should actually be Pz Gren Divs but with one StuG Bn per Regt, currently missing. They weren't upgraded to full SS Pz Divs until Oct '43 according to that page.
I have added 50 StuGs to each Division, which should cover it...?
