Is that what you heard? Oh.. I actually said, "The first round's on me " - that's why I quit the battle and headed straight for the pub.... whoops

A question Ormster if I may make so bold. Have you got a retractable roof in your attic, or did you shoot the roof off with the ack-ack?

A supplementary question too. Why is your colleague aiming his bazooka at his gunnery mates?

And a second supplementary. Which one is you?

Yes, which one is you Orm? You obviously have a keen bunch of WiF'ers in your area!![:D]
By the way W, its a WWII hand held range finder, not a bazooka[;)]

And so, with much muttering and complaining, they all decamped, deserted their hard won position, and went and joined Warspite1 down the Rose & Crown....

....and there was much rejoicing.

Is this the Hochbunker in the background at the Heiligengeistfeld in Hamburg? It sure looks like it, with the church in the background... Problem is, the Germans build those in series (almost all look the same...).

Yes, My attic is in Stockholm but in the attic I have a magic closet and once you enter it you go to a dark place called WWII. Go figure.

Great idea for a book:

The Lion, the Fuhrer and the Attic.

Orm, his brother and two sisters enter the attic and find themselves in the World of 1939 Europe. There, they meet a nasty person named Hitler who tries to re-shape the world to his order. Fortunately, a Lion named Churchill does the biz and helps Orm and his siblings to rid the world of the nasty man.

Meanwhile, above Orm's attic, Alphonse struggles with the controls...

'We've been hit' he cried.

'Don't worry', shouted Empire101 above the scream of the planes fatal dive, 'I've found last weeks winning lottery ticket!!.......'

Alphonse's reply was drowned out by the scream of the aircraft as it began to break up.........

I rather take a couple of friends from this forum. Are you joining me Warspite? We could co-write the story.

Or how about 'The Fellowship in the Attic?'

A load of seriously deranged WiF'ers in Orms attic go on a quest to find Matrix's WiF.

Empire101 finally touched down safely.

Later in the mess Alphonse, Warspite and Orm beat up Empire101 for making them miss Emmerdale.

Oh well, ces't la guerre!!
