Ok so I am the Japanese player saving my turns to slot 5. The Allied player to 10. I have used tracker for the Dec 7th turn no problem. Now it is searching for the turn in slot 5 or should it be 10 my incoming turn from my allied player? I watch the combat results and then save to slot 5 and work on my turn. Can't see to pull up either turn. I went with the turn 5 slot for my default settings. Should I change it to 10?

Thanks

No - but you can export all the data to csv format, which can be opened in xls.

What process do you use to load the new turn ? I'd recommend multi-turn.

I tried both.............my turns are saved in 5 and the Allied turns are in slot 10.

My Properties look like this

# WitPTracker AE properties file
# Directory of the game
Dir=[C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition]
# Type of game. 0=AI, 1=PBEM
GameType=[1]
# Side you are playing. 0=Japan, 1=Allies
Side=[0]
# Password. Only needed for PBEM
Password=[123]
# Name of the base save file
SaveFile=[wpae005.pws]
# Mode the program will look for save files.
# 0 = just in the local folder
# 1 = just in the game folder: [Dir]/SAVE
# 2 = local and then if not found there, the game folder
SaveMode=[2]
# Text to put in the header of the main window
Header=[wpae005]
# Turn cycle (days per turn). 1 or 2 are supported
TurnCycle=[1]

Did I somehow screw up the properties?

Okay - looks like that is fine. I know you've watched the video - so I'm wondering when you tried the multi-read did you go the correct directory and check the All.pws box ?
Otherwise are you sure that it is a new turn ? Different date ?

HI,
# Password. Only needed for PBEM
Password=[123]
# Name of the base save file
SaveFile=[wpae005.pws]
# Mode the program will look for save files.

This may be a bit too obvious an oversight... but just in case... here goes...

The Password token is currently set to '[123]' according to your text which is what is defined in the default installation.

Is this the same value that you used when saving your turn file? If not, edit the config file and set it to the same value.

I understand WipPTracker will silently ignore incorrect passwords supplied when parsing a file.

Yes Damian the save folder goes back to WITPAE and the game slots listed.

However when I go to load multiturn I click ALL.pws and then highlight my "save directory shortcut the "select directory" turns to a open option of which I click. Then I click on select directory and I get the busy window symbol....hmm nothing seems to happen. Should I leave it hanging for a period of time. I think I left it for about 1 minute last time?

I do notice though when looking at the save directory shortcut from WITPAE there is nothing showing within it in the tracker program. Of course outside the program the shortcut has all the saves. Drat!

Has anyone run into problems when removing the database files?
I have the db files for

backup
data
properties
script

When I delete them I then get issues (error) with tracker loading re. 64 bit system. Place them back and it..........well loads properly. Is there a database file that I can leave safely or is this error something all together?

ok removed the database files.....

I seem to be regressing and I am back to the 64 bit aspect of things with the "Can't load IA 32-bit.dll on a AMD 64 bit platform"

So off to the support page we go.......

Double checked and I have linked the wintracker bat file with

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms384m -Xmx512m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"

pause

hmm also have from before the C++ files. Strange have to work on this some more I think.....

Could it be possible to make TRACKER to read the combat replay file and generate the signit files + opeartions reports wihtout watching the turn?

That would save a lot of time during "boring" turns...

Thanks.

No sorry - you need to run the turn to generate those things.

My tracker has sudenly stopped working
I get the error
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.nullpointerexception
at wotptracker.images.loadimages (images.java:82)
at witptracker.inmemoryDB.loadimages (inmemorydb.java:3574)
at witptracker.main.main(main.java:165)

the only thing that has recently changed is i had a faulty memory stick and had to remove it so its only running on half memory 2gigs amnd as one of th errors mentions memory i supect that this is the reason but would like to confirm this is the likley cause before i get another stick of memory.

Another minor multi-day turn issue.

On the intel screen, when one selects to display one turn, you actually get one day. It's probably always done that, but since it wasn't originally loading both days of intel, who could tell [;)]

By contrast, the alerts screen does (and always has) shown the current turn, not the current day, although that's probably inherent in that it collects the data from a delta-database check and doesn't try to straighten out what happened what day.

Seems like memory is the cause here.
Delete the trackerdb.* files.
Copy the pwsdll.dll file from the game folder to the WitPTracker folder.
Try running the WitPTracker.bat again.

Grrr... Let me see what I can do.
