Ironman Allies

Post by Fallschirmjager »

Hi everyone, as much as I would like to play a PBEM. I am not going to subject anyone to my schedule. So I am forced to fight the AI.
What is the absolute latest Ironman scenario version to play as the Allies vs the Japanese AI?
I have the latest patch dated Jan 21st.

Also, should I still be playing this scenario on hard or very hard?

Thanks for any help

start here: tm.asp?m=2920168

and then try here: tm.asp?m=3076885

That should do it.

except you might try this additional AI file: tm.asp?m=3076883
I think that the two obligations you have are to be good at what you do and then to pass on your knowledge to a younger person

I am a bit confused. That first link says 'new allied toys'
As much as the thought of new toys excites me, I am trying to make the game harder on myself playing AS the Allies.

That second link may be what I am looking for.

And is that third link a separate scenario altogether?
That is where I am getting so confused, there seems to be a half dozen variants and version floating around out there.

Btw, thanks for the quick response :)

So sorry, you posted Ironman Allies and that is what I looked for. I think this is the thread you want

tm.asp?m=2920177

The third link is to a different AI file. There can be many AI files, it chooses on when the game starts. I think thare are about 16 in the original.

That would be great :)
If I could make one suggestion/request

I have played Ironman through an entire game. I think it was version 2. One way you could ratchet up the difficulty level the Allied player would be to move the Kamikaze date forward. I am not sure if this is possible or hard coded.
You could also create some special Kamikaze units late in the game to give to Japan. These could be large formations of 70+ planes that were cheap builds with medium to low quality pilots.

As I am playing the Allies, late in the game I don't fear anything the Japanese can throw at me expect forts and Kamikaze's.

Just an idea. You may or may not be able to use.

I would love to see the latest version you are cooking up if you will post it. I will start on it ASAP.

Thanks Andy
