Save Folder

Post by Farfarer61 »

What can be safely manually deleted, or if a shorter answer, what must not be manually deleted?

I have two .dat files in my Save directory. Other than that all files are related to specific games. Not sure if the .dat files will be recreated if you delete them so you might want to copy them elsewhere if you are planning on deleting your Save directory for some reason.

Hi all,

The

"wirgame.dat"

and

"wirpref.dat"

files are automatically created if you delete them from "Save" folder (along with ".sav" files)!

Those two are nothing more than WitE game and option preferences (that you can always set to your liking via interface)...

Thanks. I transfer between several machines as I travel a lot, so I am trying to reduce the folder size (and copying time).
