• During loading of PBEM game, time out is counted after 30 seconds.
• The Allied AI will to support operations in Eastern part of North Africa by sending some more assaults.
• AI will not keep the capital cities empty.
• UK, USA, Germany, Soviet Union and France will receive additional time at sea by two weeks with every level they will advance.
• Attacking and defending sides are now using defender's weather to calculate effectiveness.

Grab the update for Time of Fury here.

About Time of Fury

In World War II every single aspect of war was crucial: from troop movements to supply, from logistics to diplomacy, from innovation to careful use of terrain. Many games have tried to replicate the depth and complexity of this global conflict and only a few have managed to give an all around experience to players.

This is a game that truly replicates all these aspects. The developers of the highly successful Time of Wrath are back to the European theater of war with an ambitious project that allows players to truly experience what it was to be a decision maker of the period.

Time of Fury spans the whole war in Europe and gives players the opportunity to control all types of units, ground, air and naval. Not only that, each player will be able to pick a single country or selection of countries and fight his way against either the AI or in multiplayer in hotseat or Play by E-Mail. This innovative multiplayer feature will give player the chance to fight bigger scenarios against many opponents, giving the game a strategic angle that has no equal in the market. The game uses Slitherine’s revolutionary PBEM++ server system.

Features include:

• A huge campaign map spanning the entire European theater with more than 40,000 hexes and massive armies of over 1,000 units.
• 5 epic Campaigns covering the entire war starting from 1939-1944 and to 2 smaller campaigns better suited to multiplayer.
• Hundreds of historical events such as the Molotov Ribbentrop pact. Should Germany split Poland with the Soviet Union or risk war with the USSR? Should Germany form Vichy France for a quick surrender and to avoid fighting French units overseas but at the cost of not being able to attack Vichy controlled territories overseas.
• Use Diplomacy points to influence the war readiness and war entry dates of neutral nations. Can Germany keep the USA out of the war long enough to conquer the UK or should it focus its diplomatic efforts on gaining allies in Finland or the Balkans. Its even possible to cause coups changing the governments completely or to control your own populations ambitions for war.
• Technology system with 5 areas of research. Upgrade obsolete units to modern weaponry. Even invest the atomic bomb and destroy the enemies will to fight.
• Each nation has unique abilities. E.g. German panzers are faster while their supply system is less reliable.

First view, after running 1.01 almost 100 turns:

- The Winter War did not happen.
- Germany took longer to conquer Poland, BeNeLux and France.
- The USSR did not get Bessarabia.
- Hungary went to war with Rumania over Rumelia. Germany sided with Hungary (expected).
- Yugoslavia was conquered around July '41.
- Germany invaded the USSR in August '41.

I see Germany being a little weaker than before, due to those events, but the position is almost historical, so I am happy. No attack on Greece, and Finland is not with the Axis yet, but those are minor details. All in all, I like what I have seen so far. Will post more after more play.

<edit>

Just one minor thing that has not been fixed... when a German sub misses, there are lots of underscores in the message, which are not when they hit their targets.

<edit 2>

Brittish paratroopers dropped in Prague on October, 1941, conquering the country. On the long run, it is better for Germany, as it will take the PPs as its own, but it seems that some capitals are being left unguarded still.

Due to the increase upkeep cost I'm unable to keep the german army up to strength in the Grand campaign game let alone build up for France in 1940. English strategic bombing in 1939???? Also, German Army infantry research starts too low.

It's a slow process to build up your army but you can do it easily by March/June 1940

The bombing may be a little early, but the Aircraft had the range in 1939

Actually, date could have been at any time as soon as Churchill ordered an attack.

For the record Churchill started the mass bombing of civilians on April 25th 1940. After ten days of straight bombing of innocent Berlin citizens, Hitler retaliatedand the Battle of Britain began.

When will this 1.01 update be available as a "Member Download" from the Matrix site?

And to be clear, you are not talking about the "beta" version 1.01 are you?
