Don't count out Lotus, I don't know what really happened with Kimi in China but they have looked good in practice and qualy.  Going from 2nd to 14th in 2 laps was horrible to watch and I'm not even a Kimi fan.

His tyres were obviously in bad shape toward the end of the race, but I think he must have completely shot them when he went wide on to the marbles - I can't remember the lap or who the dice was with at the time as thre was soooo much going on in that final third of the race! - I have never seen that level of drop off before. But yes the Lotus looks pretty handy - and I think Grosjean is showing he can actually be a really good driver.

Qualy for Bahrain was good, Redbull seems to have found their pace.  I was hoping for Rosberg to be higher up.  Good luck to JB, hope he can win it!

I think Bahrain is going to be a race where the pitstops will decide the winner.
The heat and track is going to take it's toll on those tyres, esp on corner 10. Wrong line and those tyres will pay the price.

Redbull seem to have found their pace, Maclaren are still ahead I think. Mercedes is 1 car down, due to MS having tail problems in Qualy.
Ferrari, well that is something else. Sunday drive through the desert? Points? If they are very lucky.

Good Luck to JB and LH.

The race wasn't as good as China and still no one has claimed dominance yet, I guess the European campaign will be more forth telling.  I was very happy for Kimi and Grosjean with the effort they gave.

As far as Rosberg goes.....WTF?!?   I hate it when stewards say they will investigate after the race, that just takes away from the spectacle and where people truly come across the finish line.  I still have yet to read anything on what kind of penalty Rosberg should/will serve!?!

One last thing....WHY IS KARTHIKEYAN RACING!  What a joke for F1, only the finest should be racing.

Article 10.4 of the F1 sporting regulations says: "Manoeuvres liable to hinder other drivers, such as deliberate crowding of a car beyond the edge of the track or any other abnormal change of direction, are not permitted."

The stewards need to learn the rules.

But the weird thing is that Rosberg radio'd that Lewis had HIM off the road!! I see the stewards are taking no action, but to me that was downright dangerous....

McLaren look hopeless on race pace.....[&:][:(]

Karthikeyan brings money and is just about good enough for a superlicence - there has been plenty worse than him in the past - but probably not many [;)]

NO PENALTY FOR ROSBERG[:@]  That sets a dangerous precedent IMO.  They covered this issue last year with extreme blocking, you must leave room at least the width of a car when blocking.

I wonder what was different about Rosberg's move and Schumacher's on Barrichello a few years back? Seems odd. Maybe Lewis was behind the Mercedes and when he actually got alongside he was off the track? i.e. it was his choice to continue with the move as opposed to back off? as opposed to Barrichello who was alongside Schumacher who then tried to send him into the wall....

Seems inconsistent though given how dangerous Rosberg's manoeurvre was.

Good start from Mr Button and his new nose - keep it up lad!

BTW - just seen highlights from the famous Arnoux/Villeneuve battle at the French Grand Prix in 1979. Its absolutely amazing!! The state of the Dijon track (and the "interesting" run-off areas) is bad enough, but having a load of people on the main straight while the race is still going on?? Simply Wow [X(]

I know that my Fantasy F1 League team is having a torrid time at the moment.

Best wishes,

I hadn't heard that - although I think Force India have had to pay over £600k to Caterham for some design infringement or something....

I heard on the radio that just before the Bahrain race the Force India Mechanics were demanding to be sent home because of some violence directed at them.

By the way...

This is the Gran Turismo team...

Mclaren
Sauber
Vettel
Perez

No, four of the team were inadvertently caught up in some of the protesting out there. Force India were not being targeted - they were just unlucky - but the team agreed they could leave the country.

I wasn't sure that I heard right because I wasn't paying particular attention to the radio at the time. So I only got half a story it seems...
