Axis Armament Production in the Pool

Post by HITMAN202 »

Looking back at the end of turn 6 in two games as the Axis, there was a difference of 13,000 in the Armament Pool ,,,11,000 compared to 23,000. ????? German losses were pretty much the same. The side with the lower # had 5,000 more trucks and 21,000 more HIWIs (but the HIWIs shouldn't matter ??_.. What gives ???
WITE is a good addiction with no cure.

It could be that the type of losses you are taking are different - that is, although both games list similar manpower/armour losses, in one game you have lost far more support unit elements and in the other game more infantry squads. Artillery support units require more more armamnet points to replace than regular infantry squads.
It might also be down to where you sustain the bulk of your loses. If you take losses early on the units concerned will be close to their supply heads and can take on replacements easily, thus draining your armaments pool. If you take the losses in battles for Leningrad/Moscow etc (that is, far into the Soviet Union) supply lines will be stretched and few replacements will arrive at the damaged units so the armaments pool goes unused.
