Error: Can't create DX7 object

Hi, happily floundering around in my first ever game (latest patch) when I upgraded my drivers.

Now the Game won't load, and the above message keeps coming.

I've searched the forum, and found a fix from 2009, but either I'm doing it wrong, or it no longer works

*NO NEED, after much messing around, it now works. I can continue my haphazard allied campaign!
