Do I have a chance here? (1942 GC)

Post by fcam1387 »

Hi everyone, I'm playing the 1942 GC on challenging. It's turn 16 and the mud has hit. My offensive seems to have stalled. I'm wondering whether the situation is salvagable here? Will it be possible for me to renew my efforts in the Caucasus (once I've freed up more of those static units) once the snow starts or next spring? Or is it just going to be a slow, inexorable grind towards Berlin.

I've posted a few screen shots to give broader overview.

doesnt look that bad.

I played same campaign in 1.05 rules on challanging and be prepaired the russian AI will attack like crazy in 43.

Dont overextend yourself and try play for 1 year forwards.

I moved ALL my mech/mot/pz into 2 armies and assigned best leaders to them and took huge chunks out of the red army each turn untill spring mud 43.They where mostly active on the southern front. Try hit in arrows of advancments into russian lines and cut of railroads to stop speedy inforcments from stavka.

Check the AAR by pelton againt M60 and u will get good influence by checking hes turns in 42/43.

God luck
