Question about aircraft production

I want to add some planes to the editor and have them produced in small numbers. I know what the formula is but I just don't get how to have less than 10 planes a month available. Do I have to have an on map factory for the planes or will just using the editor under the plane tab and have the number of planes produced?

For less than 30 planes monthly there could be some variables, but generally produced number should be close to defined. Even if this is only 1.

You can give number in the model (there is field for this), they will arrive from off-map production.
